Sam Lim, MD, MPH Dr. Lim is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at Emory University School of Medicine and Professor of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. He is also the Chief of Rheumatology for Grady Health Systems, the only safety net hospital in Atlanta, where he founded and directs the Grady Lupus Clinic. His primary clinical interest is in the improvement in the diagnosis and management of lupus, particularly as it relates to racial health disparities.
His research interests are in the epidemiology, outcomes, and contributions of social determinants of health in lupus disparities. Dr. Lim was a Principal Investigator for The Georgia Lupus Registry (GLR), one of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-funded population-based lupus registries from which he helped create the Georgians Organized Against Lupus (GOAL) research cohort. Dr. Lim is very active nationally and internationally in lupus. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award and Clinical Investigator Fellowship Award by the American College of Rheumatology and has held multiple volunteer positions, including serving as past Chair of the Collaborative Initiatives Special Committee that oversees The Lupus Initiative and past Chair of the clinical study section for the Rheumatology Research Foundation grants. He currently serves on the Board of the ACR and is Deputy Editor of Arthritis Care & Research. |

Sarah Blanchard, MDDr. Blanchard is an assistant professor of dermatology and pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center, and a dermatologist at the Durham VA Medical Center. Her interest is in complex dermatology, particularly in adolescents and young adults. |
Sarah Goglin, MD
Dr. Goglin holds multiple leadership roles in medical education at UCSF. She is the Associate Chief of Education in the Division of Rheumatology at UCSF, where she oversees educational strategy and curriculum development for medical students, medicine residents, and rheumatology fellows. She is the Associate Program Director of the UCSF Rheumatology Fellowship and a Senior Associate Program Director in the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency, where she focuses on subspecialty education. She also participates in national educational activities through the American College of Rheumatology, including serving as a member of In Training Exam task force and the Education and Workforce Subcommittee of the Annual Meeting Planning Committee. |

Dr. Sabrina Gmuca is a pediatric rheumatologist and clinical researcher at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is medical director of the Center for Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome and with funding from a K23 from NIAMS is conducting a pilot RCT of a resilience coaching program for youth with chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Dr. Saira Sheik is the Linda Coley Sewell Distinguished Professor of Medicine at UNC. She is a nationally renowned physician, researcher, and educator. She is trained, and triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Allergy/Immunology. She is the Director of the Clinical Trials Program at the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center, as well as the UNC Rheumatology Lupus Clinic. Her work focuses on answering scientific questions that directly impact the care of patients with lupus. She is leading national initiatives to develop real-world, practical models to promote inclusion of racially and ethnically diverse patients in lupus clinical trials. Dr. Sheikh is the Vice-Chair of the Lupus Clinical Investigators Network (LuCIN), which is largest lupus clinical trials network of academic centers in the United States and Canada. She also serves on the ACR’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Sule completed her undergraduate education at Tulane University and her MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She then went on to do her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor and completed Rheumatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 2003. Dr. Sule also completed a PhD in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health in 2008. Dr. Sule is currently Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology at Children's National Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Sule's research focuses on exploring outcomes in pediatric patients with lupus and arthritis.
Dr. Sarah Bayefsky is an adult and pediatric rheumatologist at Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack, New Jersey. Prior to joining Hackensack, she served as the inaugural Med-Peds rheumatology fellow at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Associate Program Director at Hackensack University Medical Center, the Director of a pre-clerkship longitudinal course at
Dr. Sarah Goglin specializes in rheumatology, with a clinical focus on the systemic vasculitides and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. She joined UCSF in 2009 and currently practices at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Rheumatology clinic as well as the UCSF Vasculitis Clinic, where she is the Associate Director. She attends on the inpatient rheumatology consultation service at ZSFG.
Scott W. Canna, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of Rheumatology and the Immune Dysregulation Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Sebastian E. Sattui, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh and the Director of the UPMC Vasculitis Center. Dr. Sattui completed his rheumatology and VCRC/VF vasculitis fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and received his Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research from Weill Cornell Medicine. His work aims to improve the care of patients living with vasculitis and polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) through the study of disease biomarkers, healthcare utilization, and treatment outcomes. His research program is specifically centered around the intersection of aging and these chronic inflammatory diseases, including the treatment of older adults with vasculitis/PMR and aging-related conditions such as frailty and cognitive impairment.
