Activity Overview

This activity allows primary care providers to increase their competence on the signs, symptoms, therapies, and management of rheumatoid arthritis, leading to increased early diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.

Registration is complimentary.


Target Audience

Primary care physicians, including internal medicine and family medicine practitioners, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and nurse practitioners.


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Generate awareness and knowledge of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in medically underserved areas
  • Identify the signs and symptoms of RA
  • Recognize how to initiate care and to make an appropriate referral.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
