Activity Overview
V-FIT: Meet the Professor Sessions (V-FIT: MTPs) will provide an opportunity for trainees to engage in small group discussions with leading experts beyond their fellowship program on various topics in rheumatology. The Meet the Professor format provides FITs with the opportunity for in-depth, case-based discussions and personalized insights on cutting-edge topics. The V-FIT: MTP series includes three sessions:

Learning Objectives
Reproductive Health in Patients with Rheumatic Disease
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Perform a pre-pregnancy evaluation for rheumatic disease patients (including assessment of disease activity and damage, medications, and relevant autoantibodies) and address management issues.
Provide counseling and recommendations regarding choice of contraception for rheumatic disease patients, incorporating disease activity (if SLE diagnosis) and aPL status.
Advise on use and outcomes of assisted reproductive therapy techniques in rheumatic disease patients.
Vasculitis Mimics
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe non-vasculitic and vasculitic causes of digital ischemia, retiform purpura, and cavitary pulmonary nodules
Implement diagnostic testing strategies to identify non-vasculitic causes of digital ischemia, retiform purpura, and cavitary pulmonary nodules
Discuss the impact of immunosuppression on diagnostic testing for infections that mimic small and medium-vessel vasculitis
